Metallica to Headline CBS RADIO’s The Night Before Concert

We couldn’t be more excited to announce that rock legends Metallica will be headlining “CBS RADIO’s THE NIGHT BEFORE” concert on Saturday, February 6th at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. This is the third annual “Night Before” event and this year we’re thrilled to have Salesforce as the presenting sponsor.

Fans of the band know that Metallica has long called the Bay Area home. Earlier today, lead singer James Hetfield made the official announcement live in studio during an appearance with morning show host Kevin Klein LIVE 105 in San Francisco.

Show openers will be Cage the Elephant who will kick-off the third annual event with a set featuring some of their most acclaimed songs.

Previous events have included performances by the Red Hot Chili Peppers in New York in 2014, and Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and Florida Georgia Line in Phoenix in 2015. CBS RADIO annually produces hundreds of music events, reaching thousands of engaged fans in major U.S. cities.

“We could think of no band other than Metallica worthy of headlining such a major event in San Francisco as the city plays host to the Super Bowl,” said Andre Fernandez, President of CBS RADIO. “CBS RADIO’s THE NIGHT BEFORE has quickly become an anchor of our annual concert lineup, and we are ready to share the energy and excitement of the show with thousands of music and sports fans. It’s going to be one of the most memorable nights in San Francisco music history.”
