Take Me Out to the Ball Game (Or Just Tune-In)

While everything seems to slow down as we ease into the summer months, those of us at CBS Radio are kicking it into high gear, thanks to the most wonderful time of year: Major League Baseball season!

It’s a little-known fact that listeners flock to CBS Radio stations at the start of each baseball season, as people tune in at backyard barbecues, the beach, and even at the game itself.

This year on opening day, the Detroit Tiger saw a 20% tune-in increase with Men 25-54, and the New York Mets saw a 30% increase on Opening Day across the same demo.

There are lots of reasons fans turn to radio for their baseball coverage. CBS Radio has local sports brands that resonate with sports fan with unmatched authenticity. Nothing says local city pride like sports radio.

And then, of course, there are the world-class play-by-play announcers. Decades after the fact, sports fans remember listening to their favorite announcers call a game.
